Welcome to “La Source de Taizé”
We welcome you to a cosy environment in a traditional stone farmhouse in Taizé, south Burgundy, situated between Cluny and Cormatin.
In the well known village of Taizé, and it’s renowned cycling path « la Voie Verte » created in 1997 from a disused railway line.
« La Source de Taizé » is a place to relax, forget your daily busy life and live close to nature; the house cats will help you with this !
The gite is an old stone farmhouse built in the local Mâconnais tradition, with a small river running near the end of the property. It is located at the entrance of the village, opposite the Town hall.
Take a rest in the garden, under the shade of the trees, chairs and sun beds are available for your use at any time.
Ample parking is available in the courtyard, and there are safe storage areas for bicycles.
We ask you to kindly reserve in advance, for our home made dinner, so that you can taste the delicious specialities from our Burgundy region. Should you choose to dine out in a restaurant there is a choice within 10 mins by car.
Located in the vineyards of the Mâconnais region near the famous wine route winding through burgundy from Beaune to Dijon, wine tasting is a must ! The Towns of Cluny, Mâcon and Tournus are nearby and offer interesting and cultural sightseeing.
Les chats font partie intégrante de la maison, ils n’entreront pas dans votre chambre (sauf invitation de votre part) mais circuleront dans la maison et à l’extérieur. C’est un moment convivial que vous pouvez partager avec eux, la ronronthérapie a fait ses preuves ! La plupart de nos chats sont âgés et calmes et coulent une retraite heureuse à leur rythme. Très sensible à la cause animale et active dans une association régionale (Les chats du Pélerin) depuis plusieurs années, nous souhaitons sensibiliser nos hôtes au bien-être animal.
